We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, the people at IT Naturally are the secret to our success and how our four core values, Simplicity, Expertise, Integrity and Quality, come naturally to us. Our team is so important we want to ensure they are happy in their job and are getting the best work-life balance they can. National Work Life Week begins today (Monday 12th October 2020), it’s run by charity Working Parents and encourages both employers and employees to talk about wellbeing at work and their work-life fit. This year with the toing and froing of working from home, and with no real end in sight, it’s more important than ever to look after our team. The Modern Families Index 2020 featured some worrying stats on working from home:
- For many parents, technology has jeopardised their work-life balance. Almost half (47%) agreed it has blurred the boundary between work and home.
- 44% of parents in the Index said they check emails or do other work in the evening. Three quarters felt they had no choice in this
- 72% of parents staying in ‘work mode’ said they feel stressed, compared to one in five parents better able to ‘switch off’.
We want to support our people to make the right choices to maintain a healthy work life balance that works for each individual. One size does not fit all. What are we doing this week? IT Naturally will be combining company-wide messages and sharing meetings including talks from the CEO’s on the importance of striking the right balance, promoting policies that support flexible working, a personal reflection session, surprises for the children and a virtual band! Follow our company page on LinkedIn for updates and pictures in National Work Life week. IT Naturally has a family-friendly and flexible working culture. We focus on employee empowerment to manage their work accordingly, rather than having to work the 9 to 5. Work Life Week is run by charity Working Families they support the UK’s 13 million working parents and give employers the tools they need to support their employees.
