Tackling Climate Change: IT Naturally’s Carbon Offset Journey

In a significant step towards sustainability, we’ve offset our 842 tonnes of carbon usage in 2021 and 2022. This initiative isn’t just about reducing our carbon footprint; it’s about making a positive impact globally.

Our commitment to the environment extends far beyond the walls of our office. As a certified B Corp we put people and the planet ahead of our profits.

In a significant step towards sustainability, we’ve offset our 842 tonnes of carbon usage in 2021 and 2022. This initiative isn’t just about reducing our carbon footprint; it’s about making a positive impact globally.

Solar power project in Morocco

Half of our carbon offset efforts have been channelled into the Solar PV project in Morocco. This renewable energy project harnesses the abundant power of the sun through large-scale solar farms, providing a sustainable and clean energy source. Its impact is far-reaching, contributing to reduced greenhouse gas emissions and supporting various UN Sustainable Development Goals. These goals include promoting wellbeing, sustainable economic growth, and taking urgent action against climate change.

Distributing cleaner stoves in Kenya

The other half of our efforts focus on the distribution of cleaner cookstoves in Kenya. This community-centric project tackles the harmful pollution caused by traditional stoves, replacing them with advanced biomass stoves. These stoves are not only more efficient but also reduce emissions by a remarkable 95%. Beyond environmental benefits, this project aligns with several UN Goals, including ending poverty, ensuring healthy lives, achieving gender equality, and combating the impacts of climate change.

By participating in these life-changing projects through fellow B Corp, Ecologi, we’re contributing to both environmental sustainability and community wellbeing. This endeavour is a key part of our journey towards a greener, more sustainable future.

We’re excited to continue making a difference, one tonne of carbon at a time.
